Nicole Moser, dental outreach director at First Care Clinic, won the Outstanding Dental Hygienist Award from Oral Health Kansas. Leaders who moved the cause of oral health forward in 2015 were honored in the following categories: Outstanding Dentist, Outstanding Dental Hygienist and Outstanding Dental Champion.
The Outstanding Dental Hygienist award is presented to a dental hygienist who is distinguished from others in excellence, who goes beyond the call of duty and is committed to improving the oral health of Kansans.
Moser started as an in-house dental hygienist at First Care Clinic, and she now leads the dental outreach program. She is dedicated to improving the oral health of Kansans, and she puts her heart into educating young patients about proper oral hygiene and promoting healthy smiles. Moser has traveled countless miles across western Kansas in an effort to reach schools and areas without ideal access to dental care. Because of Moser’s dedication, thousands of underserved children have now had dental screenings, preventative care, and sealants placed. She plays a significant role in oral health education and helping fight early childhood tooth decay.
