An Ellis County man was sentenced to almost three years in prison Monday after reaching a plea deal in an online child pornography case.

Chance Keiswetter, 26, Hays, was sentenced to 32 months in prison after pleading no contest to one count each of aggravated indecent solicitation of a child and sexual exploitation of a child. Keiswetter agreed to a plea deal in November and was sentenced on Monday in Ellis County District Court.

Under the agreement, Keiswetter was sentenced to 32 months on both counts, running consecutively but the 32 months for the sexual exploitation was stayed and, upon release Keiswetter, will serve 36 months probation. Under the felony aggravated indecent solicitation sentence, he must register as a sex offender for life.

Keiswetter was arrested in August 2014 on suspicion of two counts of electronic solicitation and another count of sexual exploitation of a child.

Keiswetter was taken into custody immediately following the sentencing.
