FINNEY COUNTY – A Scott City man died in an accident just before 4 p.m. on Tuesday in Finney County.
The Kansas Highway Patrol reported a 2010 Peterbilt semi driven by Clark T. Anderson, 56, Holdrege, NE., was southbound on U.S. 83 nine miles south of U.S. 50 junction.
The semi swerved to avoid a collision with another southbound vehicle that had slowed or stopped to turn.
The semi entered the northbound lane and struck a northbound 2012 Ford F150 driven by Colter J. Berry, 28, Scott City.
Anderson and Berry were transported to St. Catherine’s Hospital where Berry died.
