MARYVILLE, Mo. – No. 3 Fort Hays State used a 15-3 fourth quarter run to open up a 15-point lead and beat a pesky Northwest Missouri State team 61-46 Saturday afternoon at Bearcat Arena. The Tigers (17-2, 11-2 MIAA) forced 12 of the Bearcats (316, 1-12 MIAA) 30 turnovers in the final quarter, outscoring Northwest 22-0 off turnovers.

Jill Faxon led three Tigers in double-figures with 15 points and six rebounds. Paige Lunsford added 14 points and Beth Bohuslavsky 10, all in the second half.
Northwest was led by Tember Schechinger who scored 13 along with 11 rebounds.
