TOPEKA, Kan. – Both the Hays High and TMP-Marian baseball teams will be the No. 3 seed in their respective regional baseball tournaments. The Monarchs (13-5) will open postseason play Monday (May 16) at 5 pm in the Larned 3A Regional against Scott City (3-17). The winner will play No. 2 seed Lakin (15-3) in the semifinals at 4 pm on Tuesday (May 17) in Larned. The host Indians (15-1) are the No. 1 seed and will play the winner of Monday’s first game between Syracuse (11-7) and Ellsworth (8-12).
Hays High (11-7) will face Buhler (15-5) at 4 pm Tuesday (May 17) in the McPherson 4A Divison I Regional. The host Bullpups (15-5) are the No. 1 seed and opens with Ulysses (7-11) at 2 pm Tuesday. The two winners meet in the regional title game at 6 pm.

Ellis is the No. 1 seed for their own 2-1A regional and will receive a first-round bye. The Railers (12-4) will play at 6 pm Monday (May 16) against the winner of the 2 pm game between Lincoln/Sylvan-Lucus (0-20) and Wichita County (0-16) game. No. 2 seed Little River (7-7) plays Ell-Saline (8-10) in the first semifinal at 4 pm. The championship game is on Wednesday, May 18 at 6 pm.
