The Hays High Indian softball team will be the No. 8 seed and play the top seed Kansas City Piper at the 4A-D1 state tournament in Salina next week.
The Indians and KC Piper will play Thursday at 5 p.m. at Field A at the Bill Burke Complex in Salina.
The Indians enter the postseason at 10-10 after winning the Hays regional, KC Piper is 18-2.
The TMP Marian softball team earned the No. 8 seed and will open the 3A state tournament against top seeded Southeast of Saline Thursday at 5 p.m.
The Monarchs are 17-6 and Southeast of Saline is 22-1 on the season.
The 3A state softball championship tournament will be held at the Twin Oaks Complex in Manhattan.
Ellis baseball is the No. 4 seed at 17-4 and will take on Medicine Lodge the five seed at the 2-1A state tournament in Great Bend.
The Railers and the Indians will play at 1:15 p.m. Thursday at the Great Bend Sports Complex.
Russell/Victoria is the No. 4 seed and will open with fifth seeded Goodland Thursday at 5:45 p.m. at the 4A-D2 state baseball tournament in Emporia. Russell/Victoria is 17-5 and Goodland is 17-5.
