FINNEY COUNTY- Law enforcement authorities in Finney County are investigating a suspect in connection with the burglary five area businesses.
On Friday May 27, the Garden City Police Department culminated an investigation that began on May 15, according to a media release.
Officers of the Garden City Police Department were dispatched to several businesses in Garden City for reports of burglary, theft, and criminal damages to the businesses including Golden Corral, 1727 E Kansas, Palace Computers, 1816 Palace Drive,
James B. Etling Family Dentistry, 1502 Harding, Fastenal, 1706 Harding
and Cox Communications, 1109 College Drive.
Further investigation revealed that John Osbourn, 26, Garden City, forced entry into each business and took or attempted to take items. Information was received during the investigation that stolen property was possibly being held a 401 Hudson Street in Garden City. The Garden City Police Department served a search warrant on this residence with the assistance of the Garden City/Finney County SWAT team and located items belonging to several of the victimized businesses.
Evidence was also located for multiple additional burglaries, both business and residential.
Osbourn was arrested and could face the possible charges of Burglary, Criminal Damage and Theft
The total loss associated with the listed businesses is estimated at $5000.00.
