HAYS, Kan. – The Hays Eagles Senior American Legion baseball team won their fourth in a row Sunday with a doubleheader sweep of Junction City Sunday. The Eagles (4-2) scored 10 runs in the first two innings and won the first game 12-2. They scored four in the first and second then used an eight-run third for a 16-6 win in game two. Both were called after four innings by run-rule.
Ryan Ruder had three hits while Cole Schumacher, Marcus Altman and Dalton Stout all drove in two runs in the first game. Ruder (1-0) pitched three innings and struck out four and walked none for the win.
Stout had three hits and drove in six in the second game. Jared Haynes (1-0) allowed four runs on four hits over two innings but picked up the win.
