Cedar Bluff, Wilson State Parks host free OK Kids Day Saturday

PRATT – Having fun in the sun is a sure thing when you spend your summer at one of Kansas’ 26 state parks where you can enjoy hiking, fishing, boating, biking, horseback riding, and just relaxing in the outdoors.

And while all of our state parks provide a wide variety of outdoor activities, there is also a long list of special events you can participate in, too. Park managers are always striving to enhance your state park experience by hosting music festivals, runs, triathlons, outdoor kids days, Fourth of July celebrations and more.

Following is a list of just some of the special events scheduled around the state this summer.

Cedar Bluff State Park Annual OK Kids Day

Join us for our annual OK Kids Day! We will start the day off with a fishing derby at Pa’s Pond. Then we will have a free hot dog feed followed by geocaching, shed hunting, and all a little minnow catching for the younger kids! It will be a great family adventure that is free to all families. Free vehicle entry all day (camping fees still apply). Celebrate Father’s day and bring your tent and make a weekend of it!
