Tuesday evening brings more rain to northwest Kansas

Storms that fired up Tuesday evening brought yet another welcome rain to the region.

Ellis County saw reports from a few tenths in the western portions of the county to 0.34 inches in Victoria. Hays saw rain ranging from 0.11 inches to 0.28 inches.

Farther west, the WaKeeney area reported heavier rain, ranging from 1.41 to 1.89 inches. Russell and Ness counties also reported totals up to about 1.5 inches.

The skies will clear Wednesday as the heat returns, with a high temperature expected just below 100 degrees.

The chance of more precipitation returns Friday.
