GOVE COUNTY – Three people were inured in an accident just before 10a.m. on Sunday in Gove County.

The Kansas Highway Patrol reported a 2016 Ram driven by David L. Hazel, 44, Colorado Springs, CO., was eastbound on Interstate 70 just west of Grinnell.

The vehicle was passing a 2008 Mercury driven by Juanita W. Brogden,78, Mills River, North Carolina.

The Mercury sideswiped the Ram, began to slide sideways in the driving lane and was hit by a semi.

Brogden and passengers in the Mercury Carolyn B. Angel, 65, Mills River, NC., and Jean W. Orr, 75, Henderson, NC.

Hazel and the driver of the semi from Arizona were not injured. They were wearing seat belts, according to the KHP.
