Partly sunny, hot Thursday with a chance for storms

Thunderstorms are expected to develop in northwestern Kansas Thursday afternoon and then progress southeastward across southwestern Kansas Thursday evening while becoming more widespread. In addition to very heavy localized rainfall, these storms could contain wind gusts to 70 mph and hail as large as golf balls.
