An overnight storm offered up nearly an inch of rain to most areas of Hays, with about a half-inch of rain reported in Ellis.

Victoria, however, was directly in the path of the front, which led to reports there ranging from 2 to 2.4 inches.

Northeast Gove County saw the most significant rain report, with 2.55 inches. Southwest Russell County had a report of 1.5 inches.

Temperatures are expected to fall today, with a chance for more storms late Friday afternoon or early evening.

Chances for precipitation or storms persist through the weekend.
