About 110 players were at Lewis Field Stadium for the first practice of the season Thursday morning for the Fort Hays State Tiger football team.

The Tigers are coming off an 8-4 campaign earning their first postseason berth since 1995, a loss to Minnesota-Duluth in the Mineral Water Bowl.

FHSU opens the season at home against Missouri Southern on Thursday, September 1st.
