SHAWNEE COUNTY- Law enforcement authorities in Shawnee County are investigating a drive by shooting.

Just after 10p.m. on Thursday, police were dispatched to St. Francis Hospital in Topeka for report of a 17-year-old with a gunshot wound, according to a media release.

The investigation indicated the teen was walking near SE 25th and SE Burr when a dark, 4-door passenger vehicle drove by and a subject shot him.

Police also identified a crime scene in the 2500 Block of SE Colonial.

The victim is expected to make a full recovery.
