RICE COUNTY –Three Kansas men were injured in an accident just before 3p.m. on Tuesday in Rice County.

The Kansas Highway Patrol reported a 2002 Ford Explorer driven by Merced Olivas-Portillo, 56, Great Bend, was west bound on U.S.56 just east of Lyons

The SUV dropped off the edge of the roadway onto the shoulder.

The driver over corrected. The SUV slid sideways onto a paved driveway and overturned.

Olivas-Portillo and passengers Manuel Torres, 42, and Trejo Barron-Martin, 62, both of Great Bend were transported to the hospital in Lyons.

Three others in the vehicle were not injured.
