ABILENE – The TMP-Marian volleyball goes 2-1 at the Abilene quadrangular Thursday. The Monarchs dropped their first set to Smoky Valley but came back to win in three (22-25, 25-17, 25-12). They edged Concordia in a close match in three (25-21, 23-25, 25-21) then lost to the host Cowgirls in two (15-25, 19-25).

The Monarchs are now 4-1.
