SALINE COUNTY – Six people were injured in an accident just before 8 p.m. on Thursday in Saline County.

The Kansas Highway Patrol reported a 2016 Toyota Camry driven by Brett Short, 16 Abilene, was eastbound on Interstate 70 two miles east of Niles Road.

The vehicle rear-ended a 1992 Honda Accord driven by Jackson, Terrance B. Jackson, 65, WaKeeney, that was eastbound at a slow rate of speed, according to the KHP.

Short, Jackson, 3 children in the Camry and a passenger in the Honda Susie Marie Jackson, 68, WaKeeney, were transported to Salina Regional Medical Center.

All six were properly restrained at the time of the accident, according to the KHP.
