John Lester Dietterich, age 83, passed away on September 1, 2016, at the Rhode Island Suites, Ransom. He was born on June 7, 1933 in Telford, Pennsylvania the son of Lester and Ethel Fretz Dietterich.

He is survived by his wife, Virginia; his daughter, Valerie; sister, Joan Ryder; and four grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his son Robert.

A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, September 7, 2016, 2:00 p.m. at the First Mennonite Church, Ransom.

Memorial contributions may be given to the First Mennonite Church or the Hospice of the Prairie.
