KANSAS CITY, Kan. (AP) — Police in Kansas City, Kansas, say a 15-year-old girl killed in a drive-by shooting last week has been identified.

Police said Monday that Brannae Brown died at the scene of the gunfire about 6:30 p.m. Friday in her hometown. Another person was wounded.

Police say the preliminary investigation shows that unknown suspects drove by and fired at Brown, though police have not released a possible motive.

The investigation continues.
