SALINA – The Hays High girls’ golf team shot a 171 and finished runner-up at the Salina Central Invitational Tuesday at the Salina Municipal Golf Course. The Indians were three shots back of first place Manhattan in the 9-hole event and one stroke better than third place Salina Central.

Katie Brungardt paced the Indians with a five-over-par 40 and finished fifth. Talyn Kleweno was one stroke back and came in seventh.
