HAYS – The Hays High boys soccer team ended their three match losing streak with a 7-2 home win over Buhler Thursday afternoon. Ethan Nunnery scored three goals for his second straight hat trick. Nunnery also had an assist. Jacob Maska scored twice while Micheal Reyes and Zach Wagner had one goal each. Zach Wagner had 4 assists and Trey McCrea had one assist.
Conner Staab had five saves in goal.
“It was truly a team effort as the boys made great passes, nice runs and our defense tightened up” said head coach Jim Maska.
The Indians improve to 4-5 on the season. They try for their first Western Athletic Conference win Saturday when they travel to Garden City for a 1 p.m. game.
