LARNED – Both the TMP-Marian boys and girls cross country teams placed two in the top 10 at Thursday’s Larned Invitational. The Monarch girls won the team title with 37 points, eight better than second place Kiowa County. The boys finished third with 47 points, five behind second place St. John and eight back of Larned.
Julia Werth paced the Monarch girls with a second place finish (23:32.5) with Emily Schippers finishing eighth (24:31.9).
Mark Loftus was fifth for the boys (18:33.1) with Trevor Pfeifer coming in eighth (18:46.1).
