LYONS – Both the TMP-Marian boys and girls cross country teams won the team titles at the Lyons cross country meet Tuesday. It’s the third straight year the Monarch boys have brought home the team title from the meet and the second straight for the girls.

The Monarch boys placed four in the top-11, led by Trevor Pfeifer who finished second (18:21.73). Paul Brull placed fifth (18:32.10), Mark Loftus sixth (18:36.04) and Jared Mayers 11th (19:37.98).

The Monarch girls placed four in the top-15. Julie Werth led the way wtih a third place finish (23:10.26) with Emily Schippers fourth (23:43.11). Megan Brin was 14th (25:08.41) and Alins Schibi 15th (25:10.45). Cheyenne Rhoades was 16th (25:30.26).
