Kris Ray Jackson, 52, of Abilene, passed away Thursday, Oct. 13, 2016. Kris was born Nov. 29, 1963 in Junction City, Kansas, along with his twin brother, Kevin, to Henry D. (Al) & Virginia (Meyer) Jackson.
Survivors include his twin brother, Kevin, of Abilene; father, Henry D. (Al ) Jackson & wife Karen, Battlefield, MO; his older twin brothers, Kerry (Cindy) Jackson, Lincoln, KS & Ken(Stacey) Jackson, Osborne, KS; and brother, Kelly Jackson, Asheville, NC, as well as many nieces and nephews, who will all miss him dearly.
He was preceded in death by sister, Kathy, and mother, Virginia.
Kris was destined to be someone special from the day he was born on November 29th, along with his twin brother, Kevin. They arrived as a special birthday present to older twin brothers, Kerry & Ken on their 8th birthday, also November 29th. They grew up sharing birthdays as a double set of twins, and caused a phenomenon anywhere they went when people found out they were all born on the same day. Kris’ gentle nature and kind soul endeared him to anyone that met him. He never knew a stranger, and made friends wherever he and Kevin were. Kevin and Kris were inseparable, and shared a bond that only twins can explain. Brothers, soul mates, friends forever in life and now in death. Kris had a gift for making people laugh. His ability to impersonate many of his beloved characters ranging from the Three Stooges, to Kiss, or best of all Mankind – would leave friends and family in stitches. Kris could fill a room with his smile, and he will be greatly missed by his many friends and family. We are comforted knowing that he was welcomed in to heaven to be with his beloved sister, Kathy, mother, Ginny and his canine companion, Luggers.
Memorials may be made to the Kris Jackson Memorial Fund or to the St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital, and may be sent in care of the Martin-Becker-Carlson Funeral Home, 414 NW 3rd, Abilene, Kansas 67410.
