Kansas man charged with giving false name for care at the hospital

screen-shot-2016-11-18-at-5-07-41-amRENO COUNTY– A Kansas man awaiting sentencing for a burglary was before a Reno County Judge on Thursday for a charge of theft by deception.

Nathan McConnell, 25, Hutchinson, is charged with receiving medical services between $1,500 and $25,000 by either false statements or misrepresentation at Hutchinson Regional Medical Center.

The alleged crime occurred on July 28, 2016.

Assistant District Attorney Andrew Davidson says McConnell used someone’s else’s name to receive medical treatment resulting in a cost in the thousands of dollars in services to the hospital.

McConnell is awaiting sentencing for the burglary conviction, which is scheduled for December 2.
