NCK TECH’s Brown wins workforce education leadership award

BELOIT–The Kansas Council for Workforce Education has announced that Jennifer Brown, Instructional Coordinator for North Central Kansas Technical College (NCK TECH), Beloit and Hays, has been awarded the KCWE Leadership Award for Exemplary Service. The Leadership Award winner is recognized for outstanding service to KCWE.

kcwe-logoKCWE president Tom Grady, the Faculty Development Coordinator for Johnson County Community College, said “Jennifer has gone above and beyond in her role as a KCWE member.”

“NCK TECH is successful because of high performing employees like Jennifer Brown,” said Eric Burks, NCK TECH president.

“We appreciate Jennifer’s dedication and quality of work. It’s not surprising that other entities are recognizing the same excellence in her that we witness everyday. Jennifer serves the college in so many facets, and we’re grateful for all that she does. She is very deserving of this honor,” Burks added.

Brown, who has been with NCK TECH since 2002, started as an English instructor in the General Education Department and has served as the Instructional Coordinator for both the Beloit and Hays campuses the past five years. Brown holds an Master of Arts degree from Kansas State University.
