JOHNSON COUNTY- A Kansas man died in an accident just after 4 p.m. on Sunday in Johnson County.

The Kansas Highway Patrol reported a 2004 Toyota Tacoma driven by Nicholas A. Herren, 21, Alma, was eastbound on Kansas 10 just west of Cedar Creek Parkway.

The driver lost control of the pickup. It entered the median sideways, rolled and landed in the north ditch of the westbound lanes.

Herren and a passenger Ryan Patrick McMahon, 22, Redondo Beach, CA., were transported to Overland Park Regional Medical Center where Herren died.

Both were properly restrained at the time of the accident, according to the KHP.
