Former Phillipsburg resident Elsie Runnion passed away Sunday, Nov. 27, 2016 at the Hays Medical Center in Hays, KS at the age of 96.

She was born in Fort Morgan, CO on Sept. 14, 1920, the daughter of George & Molly (Reiber) Wagner.  Her husband, Francis Runnion, preceded her in death on July 4, 1991.

Survivors include her four sons:  Niles and Randy, both of Phillipsburg, KS; Richard of Ottumwa, IA; and Stanley, of Prairie View, KS; one daughter, Carol Shove, of Noonan, GA;       numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Friday, Dec. 2, 2016 at 10:30 a.m. in the Olliff-Boeve Memorial Chapel, Phillipsburg, with Pastor Gregg Runnion officiating.  Burial will follow in the Fairview Cemetery, Phillipsburg.

Mrs. Runnion will lie in-state on Wed., Nov. 30, from 5-9 p.m. and again Thursday, Dec. 1, from 9 a.m. – 9 p.m. at the funeral home, with the family receiving friends Thursday evening from       6 p.m. – 7 p.m.
