On Tuesday evening at Fort Hays State University’s Sheridan Hall, the university officially kicked off the holiday season with the annual Christmas tree lighting ceremony.

Acting President Mike Barnett, in his first official public appearance in that role since the resignation of Dr. Mirta M. Martin on Nov. 23, presided over the ceremony.
