RENO COUNTY – A Kansas teen was before a judge Reno County judge on Monday to hear potential charges against him.
Rowdy S. Doherty, 18, Hutchinson, faces two counts of auto burglary, criminal damage, theft and criminal trespass, according to police.
One of the stolen vehicles reportedly belonged to a Rice County Sheriff’s Deputy.
She reported she came downstairs in her home in the 3200 block of Nutmeg and found Doherty in her home. She took him into custody, searched his pockets and found the keys to her vehicle and other items taken from her vehicle.
He is also alleged to have damaged a garage door and the walls inside the garage.
The judge reduced his bond from $11,000 to $5,000. He is scheduled back in court next week.
