Kansas man hospitalized after crash into semi in fog

EDWARDS COUNTY – A Kansas man was injured in an accident just before 11:30 a.m. on Friday in Edwards County.

The Kansas Highway Patrol reported a 2001 Dodge Ram driven by Weston Schuette, 23, Kinsley, was northbound on U.S. 183 four miles south of Kinsley.

The pickup collided with a semi that was turning southbound from P Road onto U.S. 183.

Due to fog, the semi failed to see the pickup, according to the KPH.

Schuette was transported to the hospital in Kinsley. He was not wearing a seat belt, according to the KHP.

The semi driven Luis Noriega-Reyes, 27, Dodge City, was not injured.
