FORD COUNTY -A Kansas woman was injured in an accident just before 5 p.m. on Monday in Ford County.

The Kansas Highway Patrol reported a 1998 Honda CRV driven by Jared Boyk Ray, 19, Des Moines, IA., was northbound on U.S. 283 nine miles south of Dodge City.

The Honda crossed left of center and hit a southbound 2005 Mercury Mountaineer driven by Nancy Marie Nichols, 56, Jetmore.

Nichols was transported to the hospital in Dodge City.
Ray and a passenger were not injured.

All three were properly restrained at the time of the accident, according to the KHP.
