Cedar, Kanas, resident, Helen S. Chase, passed away Sunday, May 28, 2017 at the Hays Medical Center in Hays, Kansas, at the age of 85.

She was born June 14, 1931 in Osborne, Kansas, the daughter of Nathan and Miriem (Hersey) Muck.
Her husband, George, and daughter, Cecelia, preceded her in death.
Survivors include her daughter, Cammie Townley, of Ellis, Kansas; five brothers: Frank Muck, Jim Muck, David Horning, and Gene Castel, all of Gaylord, Kansas, and Karl Zimmerman of Tecumseh, Kansas; four sisters: Hazel Nichols of Smith Center; Lily Wilcoxson of Derby, Kansas; Frances Muck of Garden City, Kansas; and Doris Dice; along with five grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Funeral services will be Monday, June 5, at 10:30 a.m. in the Olliff-Boeve Memorial Chapel, Phillipsburg, with Ronnie Wilcoxson officiating. Burial will follow in the Cedar Cemetery, Cedar, Kansas.
Mrs. Chase will lie in-state on Saturday and Sunday, June 3 and 4, from noon to 9 p.m. both days at the funeral home.
