Current Ellis city council members Robert A. Redger and Holly A. Aschenbrenner have filed for re-election. Redger filed Tuesday. Aschenbrenner filed Thursday morning. A third city council member, Dena Patee, filed this morning for the office of mayor.

There are three open seats on the council as well as those of Ellis treasurer and mayor.

Also in Ellis, Mike Gaschler filed for a seat on the USD 388 school board where there are three open positions.

Hays resident Sophia Rose Young filed Wed., May 31, for one of three open seats on the Hays USD 489 school board.

Another Hays resident, Dustin Glen Roths, filed this morning for a position on the Hays city commission. There are three open seats.

In Victoria, Zach Kanzenbach filed this morning for a position on the Victoria city council. There are three open city seats and that of mayor. There are also three positions open on the Victoria USD 432 school board.

The filing deadline was 12 noon today for school and city elections in Kansas for the Nov. 7 general election.
