Tuesday’s early evening thunderstorm in Hays yielded an official 0.42 inches of rain as measured at the K-State Agricultural Research Center south of town. No hail was noted.

A little more rain fell in northwest Hays where 0.75 inches was reported and 0.70 inches was recorded six miles north of Hays. The Eagle Media Center, 2703 Hall, received just a quarter of an inch.

Catherine had 0.30 inches.

The moisture total so far this year for Hays is 15.82 inches.
