Agra resident Carl K. Rodgers passed away June 8, 2017 at the Smith County Memorial Hospital in Smith Center at the age of 84. He was born Jan. 11, 1933 in Newton, KS, the son of Robert & Kathryn (Schafer) Rodgers. He owned and operated Rodgers & Associates Insurance in Phillipsburg.

Survivors include his wife Shirley of the home; 3 sons: Chris of Hutchinson, John of Burke, VA and James of Greensburg; one daughter, Kimberly Beach of Phillipsburg; his brother, Leonard of Tempe, AZ; 8 grandchildren & 5 great grandchildren.

Cremation was chosen. A memorial service will be held Sat. June 17 at 1:30 p.m. in the Community Church Of God, Phillipsburg, with Pastor Monte Brunner officiating. A private family graveside will be held in the Agra Cemetery, Agra. Visitation will be from 9:00 to 9:00 Friday at the Olliff-Boeve Memorial Chapel, Phillipsburg, with the family receiving friends from 7:00 to 8:00 p.m.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Coronado Area Council Boy Scouts.
