Larks hold off Haysville to run win streak to three

HAYS, Kan. – Max Remy drove in four runs and Trey Ochoa knocked in three to lead the Hays Larks to a 12-8 win over Haysville in their series opener Friday night at Larks Park.

Remy only had one hit which came with the bases loaded in the eighth and scored two. He was hit by a pitch with the bases loaded in the seventh which broke a 7-all tie and gave the Larks (6-4, 6-3 Jayhawk League) as they ran their winning streak to three games.

Haysville (5-7, 5-7 Jayhawk League), who dropped their fifth straight, scored single runs in each of the first four innings to take a 4-0 lead. The Larks answered with four in the bottom of the fourth then took the lead with three in the sixth. The Aviators scored three in the seventh only to see the Larks answer with three in the bottom of the inning to take the lead back for good.

The two play the middle game of the three-game series Saturday night.
