A look ahead at the performers taking the stage at the 2017 Wild West Festival in Hays.
Nashville songwriter and artist Jared Daniels has one way of describing his journey … “rollercoaster.”
The Kansas native has seen the high’s from successful songs and music videos, like “Foot on the Dashboard,” to the lows of some songs never making it off the shelf.
But, the rollercoaster ride has led him to new and better places. Opportunities to write with some of the best Nashville songwriters and re-invent himself as an artist and writer.
2017 will be full of tour dates and a new record.
“In 2015, I honestly thought I was done, I wouldn’t be recording any new music and playing very few shows. I was just going to write songs, but a few opportunities presented themselves so I jumped,” he said.
Daniels along with longtime lead guitarist and Dodge City native Kevin Henrichs will hit the road with the band in 2017 and look forward to the opportunity to bring new music to the table.
A native of Kansas, Jared Daniels grew up in Caney and formed the Jared Daniels Band while attending K-State. He moved to Nashville in August 2011. In the spring of 2012, the band released its first professionally recorded EP, which was recorded in Nashville.
Jared Daniels takes the Wild West Festival stage at 6:15 p.m. Thursday, June 29.
