Some Hays residents made plans to do yard work Sunday, anticipating a cool day promised in the weather forecast. They weren’t disappointed.
The high in Hays on June 25 was just 69 degrees, with the overnight low dipping to 55 degrees. One year ago on June 25 the high was a more seasonable 88 degrees.
Outdoor plans may have been disrupted yesterday. Rain fell several times resulting in a total 0.44 inches measured at the K-State Agricultural Center south of town.
Rain also fell Friday–0.12 inches–and again Saturday–0.08 inches. The high both days was 79 degrees.
So far in June, Hays has received 3.54 inches of rain. Year to date, 18.80 inches of measure has been recorded.
Today’s weather forecast calls for more normal temperatures and a chance of rain.
