Caring Kids Closet

Leadership Hays 2017 would like to extend a heart-felt thank you to all the local community members and businesses that donated money or items to help stock the Caring Kids Closet for Saint Francis Community Services.

Since the drive for supplies to stock the closet was so successful, the Caring Kids Closet has a good problem on their hands.  More than double the amount of items needed to stock the closet were received over the past couple of weeks.  Leadership Hays 2017 will be sharing the overflow of donated items with Phillips County to help stock a closet for foster care children awaiting placement in Phillipsburg.

As the closet has more items than can be dispersed in the next year, we would ask that community members suspend bringing items to any of the previously listed locations.  The Caring Kids Closet will host future upcoming supply collections as items begin running low.

We are truly overwhelmed by the generosity of our incredible community and look forward to improving the transitional time that foster care children spend before being placed with a foster care family.  Thank to all our community members that were able to help out the Ellis County youth that are in crisis!
