Former Glade resident Verla McDermed passed away Thursday, June 22, 2017 in Salina, KS at the age of 92.

She was born in Phillips County, KS on Oct. 30, 1924, the daughter of Paul & Sheila (Farley) Kincaid. Her husband, John, preceded her in death on Oct. 9, 1997.

Survivors include her daughter, Vonda Karr, of Culver, KS; 3 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, June 29, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. in the Olliff-Boeve Memorial Chapel, Phillipsburg, with Pastor Lew Van Der Wege officiating. Burial will follow in the Fairview Cemetery, Phillipsburg.

Mrs. McDermed will lie in-state on Tuesday, June 27, from 5 – 9 p.m. and again Wednesday, June 28, from 9 a.m. – 9 p.m. at the funeral home.
