Extreme northwest Kansas is likely to see storms for a second consecutive day.
Severe weather hit extreme northwest Kansas late Monday afternoon.
Reports to the National Weather Service include two and one inch-sized hail five miles south of Atwood in Rawlins County just before five p.m. Two inch hail was also reported via social media in Rexford in Thomas County at 5:20 p.m.
High winds tossed a carport in a Sharon Springs backyard into the roof of a neighbor’s house. That happened in Wallace County just after five p.m.
Tornado warnings were issued by the National Weather Service in Goodland for Gove, Logan and Thomas counties.
