PHILLIPS COUNTY – One person was injured in an accident just after 8:30p.m. Wednesday in Phillips County.

The Kansas Highway Patrol reported a 1998 Ford pickup driven by  Austin K. Murphy, 20, Phillipsburg, was northbound on E 300 Road just south of E Hunter Road.

The driver lost control on a curve. The pickup entered the east ditch, hit several trees and came to rest in the east ditch.

Murphy was transported to the hospital in Phillipsburg.  He was properly restrained at the time of the accident, according to the KHP.
