PHILLIPSBURG, Kan. – The TMP-Marian girls finished second and the boys third at the Mid-Continent cross country meet Thursday at the Phillipsburg rodeo grounds. The Monarch girls scored 33 points and finished six points behind Norton. Trego finished third.

The Norton boys scored 18 points and ran away with the title, finishing 21 better than Trego and 38 better than TMP-Marian who finished third with 56 points.

Julia Werth led the Monarch girls with a seventh place finish (22:41.50). Emily Schippers who was eighth (22:56.40). Trego’s Helen Giefer won the girls race (22:56.40).
