The Cancer Council of Ellis County (CCEC) is partnering with Scentsy Independent Consultant, Amanda Long, by hosting a Scentsy fundraiser. Scentsy is the nationally known brand of fragrances that produce aroma therapy in the form of room scents, body care, and cleaning and laundry detergents. Amanda stated, “I asked Paula [Flesher, Cancer Council Executive Director] to let me host an event with the Cancer Council because I knew every dollar generated would stay in our community to help cancer patients.”
You can help support this fundraiser by placing a Scentsy order at www.gavinmaddygracie.scentsy.us from November 1, 2017 through November 30, 2017. Products will be delivered in time for Christmas. If you would like to support the CCEC by making a general donation, you can do so at 701 Riley Street, Hays, Kansas 67601.
“We are very appreciative whenever an individual or group wants to partner with us to raise funds. We have had great support from organizations and individuals in the community,” Paula said.
Other well-known events by the CCEC are the Day of Caring Brunch and Style Show, an educational program celebrating breast cancer survivors and promoting awareness and early detection of breast cancer, and the annual Hit the Bricks 5K race during the summer.
The CCEC is a non-profit organization that was formed in 1986. The CCEC serves people through financial assistance, lending out medical equipment, nutritional supplements, and education about cancer prevention and early detection.
