KanCare, the administer of Medicaid in Kansas, is hosting a presentation at 6:30 p.m. Nov. 14 at the Hays Public Library for Medicaid recipients, family members, professionals who work with recipients, and interested taxpayers. The presentation is hosted by Women for Kansas Hays/Russell Chapter.

Join the presentation to learn about the future of KanCare with the guest speaker Sheldon Weisgrau, director of the Health Reform Resources Project. He will discuss expanding KanCare beyond 2017, the expansions of the 2017 KanCare campaign and the expansion of the benefits from KanCare.

The Health Reform Resources Project is foundation-funded. Its initiative is to provide education and technical assistance in the implementation of health reform and the Affordable Care Act in Kansas. Weisgrau has more than 30 years of experience in health policy.

He has worked effectively in the public, private, and nonprofit sectors to ensure the delivery of health care services in rural and undeserved communities and to enhance the knowledge and engagement of health care consumers, providers and policymakers.

Weisgrau earned his undergraduate degree from Cornell Univeristy and a master’s degree in health policy and management from the Johns Hopkins University School of Public Health.
