DECATUR COUNTY — One person was injured in an accident just after 9a.m. Saturday in Decatur County.

The Kansas Highway Patrol reported a 2014 Kenworth semi driven by Gilbert Beltrandiaz, 52, National City, CA., was westbound on U.S 36 ten miles west of U.S. Highway 83.

The semi left the roadway to the right. The driver over-corrected and the truck came back onto the highway and overturned.

Beltrandiaz was transported to the hospital in Atwood. He was not wearing a seat belt, according to the KHP.
