Allen Street from 18th to 21st streets will be closed from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Wednesday, while Midwest Energy crews replace several poles and string new wires in the area.

Additionally, 19th and 20th streets between Milner and Pine, as well as their alleyways, will be closed to through traffic from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., though residents will still be able to access these streets to enter or exit driveways.

Road cones and signs will be in place to aid traffic.

“Midwest Energy apologizes for any inconvenience, and we thank area residents for their patience as we complete this needed work to improve safety and reliability in the area,” spokesman Mike Morley said in a news release.
