COLBY — At approximately 11:28 a.m. Tuesday, the Colby Police Department was called to Colby High School for a disruptive student making threats.
The school advised they had already taken precautions and placed the campus on lockdown. Upon arrival, officers were able to isolate the student and resolve the situation. The student was taken into protective custody and was transported to Citizens Medical Center for an assessment.
No weapons were involved in the incident. No students or faculty were injured in the incident. Charges pertaining to the incident will be forwarded to the Thomas County Attorney for review.
In order to preserve the rights on the individual, no other information is being released at this time, according to Chief Ron Alexander.
